Protecting Client Information

CareAparent is committed to upholding client privacy rights and maintaining the security and integrity of client protected health information. We are equally committed to compliance with laws and regulations that govern our work, communications, and records.

Our confidentiality, privacy, and HIPAA policies and procedures are written and structure to make sure each CareAparent employee upholds their obligation to maintain confidentiality and protect client privacy.

Client Rights

We respect client rights and the confidentiality of their personal health information and provide each client Privacy Notice containing a description of the client’s rights related to confidential and protected health information. Clients also receive contact information for requesting information, making corrections, or reporting concerns.

Employee Responsibilities

CareAparent expects employees to maintain the utmost integrity regarding all confidential information that belongs to our clients and that belongs to our company. All such information should be held in the strictest confidence and released only by authorized employees to persons who recognize these confidentiality obligations and agree to abide by them in writing.

Employees are expected to report any breach of a client’s confidential or protected information to their Team Lead or the Director of Operations at 651-702-4663.

Employees are also expected to help detect and deter any compliance violations by CareAparent employees and report violations to appropriate authorities.

Reporting a Concern

Listening closely and responding to client and family needs is at the heart of our work. No one should hesitate to contact the office with any concerns or to use the compliance contact information above. Once a report is received, the Chief Compliance Officer will take responsible steps to respond in a timely and appropriate way.

Clients who have questions about a particular policy, practice, or procedure should contact the CareAparent office for clarification.

Employees should contact their supervisors for clarification on policies, practices, or procedures.
